What Do Patients Say About Us?

Karen H.

While training to run the London Marathon, I tore my meniscus at the root, requiring extensive surgery to repair it. From my initial assessment with Jared, I knew I was in the right place. He was thorough, detail-oriented, and confident he could help me recover and get back to running. He set up an extensive program, using the newest techniques, in order to ensure my success. Yes, the work was hard, but Jared kept it fun, which motivated me to push through and keep going. I am now recovered and have run 3 marathons since my surgery! I am 100% confident that I wouldn’t be here without the exceptional care I received from Jared. I absolutely recommend!

“What sets Jared apart is his commitment to personalized, evidence based care. He combines his experience as a collegiate soccer athlete with the latest research to provide top notch physical therapy and performance training. Initiative Health and Performance is your one stop shop whether you are trying to bounce back after an injury or are looking to get a step ahead of the competition.”

I met Jared at another facility for referral for chronic/continued back/hip pain. He provided a comprehensive exam, asked thorough questions and even repeated a physical exam the following appointment as he was brainstorming all potential ideas. I’ve been to several PTs over the past 5+ years with similar complaints (back/hip pain). He is one of the few PTs that have actually listened to the history, listened to the physical complaints, and even discussed topics beyond the muscle/tendon/orthopedic aspect (re: nutrition) which none of my prior PTs have discussed/suggested may be a part of the problem. Jared provided clear feedback and rehab exercises that were easy to follow at home. Bonus, the rehab exercises “hit the spot” and I’ve been pain free for several months. I still follow through with my rehab exercises weekly for maintenance (I’ve never done this before as I’ve found previous exercises too complicated and don’t always have the equipment at home to follow through). He even requested, if I was comfortable, to follow up with my running coach (I have a great relationship with her!) as he wanted all on “my team” to be involved. That’s another first in regard to seeing a PT. When he offered a running assessment, I couldn’t say no as his expertise and knowledge is invaluable. If I ever have a flare up, a new pain, I won’t hesitate to follow up with him.
